Turkish Ambassador discuss enhanced cooperation Ties with Pakistan Red Crescent Society
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, visited the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) National Headquarters, where he met PRCS Chairperson Farzana Naek to discuss enhanced cooperation in humanitarian efforts.
During the meeting, Ambassador Neziroglu congratulated Naek on her appointment, reaffirming the historic brotherly ties between Türkiye and Pakistan. He emphasized the strong collaboration between the Turkish Red Crescent (TRCS) and PRCS, particularly in disaster relief and humanitarian aid.
Highlighting Türkiye’s commitment to women’s leadership, the Ambassador praised Dr. Fatma Meriç Yilmaz, the first female President of TRCS, as a symbol of progress in both nations. He also expressed interest in launching joint initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, education, and capacity building.
Chairperson Naek appreciated TRCS’s unwavering support during emergencies and stressed the need for strengthening cooperation to better assist vulnerable communities. She also expressed her eagerness to collaborate with Dr. Yilmaz to explore new partnership opportunities.
Before concluding his visit, Ambassador Neziroglu signed the PRCS Visitor’s Book, commending its humanitarian work, and received a souvenir from Chairperson Naek as a token of appreciation.
