
Turkish Ambassador Visits IPO-Pakistan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Ambassador of Turkey, Irfan Neziroglu, visited the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan), marking an important step in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Turkish Ambassador was welcomed by Chairperson Ambassador (R) Farukh Amil, Director General Ms. Shazia Adnan, and other key officials.
The meeting centered on advancing collaboration in the field of intellectual property (IP), which plays a critical role in economic development. Both sides recognized the shared benefits of IP protection, particularly in areas such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and geographical indications. The Ambassador stressed the importance of creating an enabling environment for businesses and innovators in both countries.
Ambassador Neziroglu noted the potential for Pakistan and Turkey to deepen their ties in IP rights protection, highlighting mutual interests in fostering innovation. The Turkish side also expressed support for initiatives aimed at raising awareness about IP and supporting capacity-building programs.
IPO-Pakistan officials briefed the Ambassador on their ongoing efforts to promote and enforce intellectual property rights in Pakistan, with a focus on training, registration facilitation, and public awareness.
The visit emphasized the longstanding and growing relationship between Pakistan and Turkey, particularly in the field of intellectual property. Both countries are committed to enhancing cooperation, and this visit serves as a significant milestone in promoting economic growth and strategic collaboration through the protection of intellectual property rights.
