Asian Cricket Council (ACC) T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Al Amarat, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) emerged victorious over Oman by 4 wickets.
Oman, batting first, set a target of 151 runs, finishing their innings at 150 runs for 8 wickets. Captain Jitender Singh led the charge with a commendable 54 runs, supported by Aamer Kaleem’s 32 and Mohammad Nadeem’s 20.
The UAE responded assertively, successfully chasing down the target with 5 balls to spare. Syed Haider was the star of the show, scoring an impressive 44 runs without losing his wicket. Contributions from Tanesh Suri (33 runs) and Basal Hameed and Nilanesh Keshwani, both scoring 19 runs, helped seal the win.
Oman’s bowling attack saw Aamer Kaleem and Mehran Khan each take 2 wickets, but it was not enough to stop the UAE’s momentum. On the flip side, UAE bowlers Mohammad Jawad Allah and Mohammad Farooq each took 3 wickets, showcasing their dominance.
