The evacuees were flown from Ramon Airport in Israel to Abu Dhabi via the Kerem Shalom crossing. This marks the UAE’s second such airlift aimed at providing advanced medical care to those affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

She emphasized that the UAE is dedicated to working with international partners and the UN to address the humanitarian crisis.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, commended the UAE’s role in facilitating the evacuation and ensuring that patients receive the necessary care. He expressed hope for continued evacuations and acknowledged the UAE’s significant contributions to humanitarian aid efforts.
With this latest evacuation, the total number of individuals transported from Gaza has exceeded 1,917. Additionally, the UAE has provided over 40,000 tons of emergency relief, including food, medical supplies, and other essential materials, through various means, including ships, trucks, and flights.
