UBG Delegation Discusses Strengthening Trade and Ties with Turkish Ambassador

A delegation from the United Business Group (UBG), including Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari (Chairman of Clean and Green Islamabad Movement), and Waqar Bakhtawari (Chairman of Ba-Waqar Pakistan), met with Turkish Ambassador Dr. Irfan Nazir Oglu at the Turkish Embassy to discuss ways of enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey.

During the meeting, the delegation emphasized the importance of activating the railway and road infrastructure to facilitate smoother trade between the two nations. They proposed the establishment of a direct cargo shipping service and suggested that Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority allow more airlines to operate from Islamabad and Lahore, in addition to Karachi, to promote trade.

Ambassador Oglu highlighted the potential for closer collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey in various sectors, including trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges. He reaffirmed the strong foundation of the bilateral relationship and supported the efforts to explore new opportunities for growth and cooperation.

The meeting underscored the mutual desire to strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries and promote shared prosperity in the region. The Bakhtawari family also expressed their solidarity with Turkey and stressed the importance of joint efforts toward regional peace and stability.
