UK Lawyers to Submit War Crimes Complaint Against 10 British-Israeli Dual Nationals Over Gaza Atrocities
A group of British human rights lawyers, led by prominent legal expert Michael Mansfield KC, is preparing to submit a comprehensive war crimes complaint to the Metropolitan Police’s War Crimes Unit, targeting ten British-Israeli dual nationals accused of participating in alleged war crimes during Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The 240-page dossier, compiled by legal researchers in the UK and The Hague, presents detailed evidence of violations of international humanitarian law, including the targeted killing of civilians and aid workers, the bombing of hospitals, and the destruction of religious and historical sites.
The names of the ten individuals have not been made public due to legal sensitivities, but all are believed to have served with the Israeli military in recent operations across the Gaza Strip. “If British nationals are involved in war crimes abroad, it is our legal and moral duty to take action,” said Michael Mansfield KC, emphasizing that no one is above the law, including those holding dual citizenship.
According to the legal team, the complaint relies on open-source intelligence, eyewitness accounts, and verified video footage. Among the cited incidents is one showing an Israeli bulldozer desecrating a hospital courtyard by driving over a dead body—an act described as “both criminal and symbolic of broader impunity.”
Sean Summerfield, a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, who helped compile the report, stated: “The British public will likely be shocked to learn there is credible evidence that UK nationals may have directly participated in such atrocities.”
