Ukraine Confirms Chinese Military Supplies to 20 Russian Plants

Ukraine has verified intelligence indicating that China is actively supplying critical materials to at least 20 Russian military manufacturing facilities, according to Oleh Ivashchenko, the head of Ukrainian foreign intelligence.

In comments made to the state-run Ukrinform news agency, Ivashchenko said the confirmed supplies include tooling machines, gunpowder, special chemicals, and defense-related components.

Ukraine’s claims mark a significant escalation in concerns over Beijing’s role in supporting Moscow’s war efforts, despite China’s public claims of neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The revelation comes weeks after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy directly accused China of delivering military aid and gunpowder to Russia, a statement Beijing dismissed as “groundless.” In retaliation, Kyiv imposed sanctions on three Chinese companies.
