Ukraine Highlights North Korea as Major Threat Amidst Rising Tensions with Russia

Ukraine has turned its attention to North Korea, labeling it as Russia’s most perilous ally. This shift follows recent criticisms of Iran’s cooperation with Russia and its provision of short-range ballistic missiles.

In a statement on Saturday, Kyrylo Budanov, the Director of Ukrainian Intelligence, underscored that North Korea is the primary concern for Kyiv. He explained that the country supplies Russia with large quantities of artillery shells, which are crucial for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

At the Yalta European Strategy Conference in Kyiv, Budanov detailed how North Korea’s extensive military aid significantly impacts the severity of the fighting, making it a critical issue for Ukraine amidst its struggle with Russian aggression.
