Renowned umpire Aleem Dar has announced his retirement following the conclusion of the 2023-24 domestic season. With an impressive record, Dar has officiated in a remarkable 145 Test matches and 231 One Day Internationals, earning him accolades as one of the top umpires in cricket history.

Dar has been honored with the ICC’s Best Umpire Award for three consecutive years, showcasing his exceptional skills and contributions to the sport. He began his first-class umpiring career during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 1998 and served on the ICC Elite Umpires Panel from 2003 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has gained global recognition for his administrative expertise, understanding of game conditions, calm demeanor, and outstanding decision-making abilities.
