UN Assembly Adopts Resolution Urging Israel to End Occupation of Palestinian Territories

In a significant move, the United Nations General Assembly has passed a resolution calling on Israel to terminate its illegal occupation of Palestinian land.

The resolution, which garnered 124 votes in favor, demands that Israel withdraw from the occupied territories within one year. The United States and 12 other countries opposed the resolution, while Israel and 43 nations abstained from the vote.

Presented by a coalition that includes Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, and South Africa, the resolution underscores the international community’s ongoing support for Palestinian rights.
