UN General Assembly Passes Resolution to Investigate Israeli Crimes in Gaza

The United Nations General Assembly has approved a resolution calling for a thorough investigation into alleged Israeli crimes in Gaza, particularly focusing on the reported genocide of Palestinians. The resolution was introduced by Norway and passed with a significant majority, securing 137 votes in favor.

While the measure garnered widespread support, 10 countries, including the United States and Israel, voted against it. Additionally, 22 countries opted to abstain from the vote, reflecting divisions in international opinions on the issue.

The resolution highlights the urgent need to protect the civil rights of Palestinians, urging the international community to take stronger action to prevent further Israeli incursions and ensure the safety of Palestinian citizens amidst the ongoing conflict.
