Top-ranked Pakistani tennis player Ushna Suhail claimed the Ladies Singles title at the Emerging Pakistan National Ranking Tennis Championships with a commanding win over Zunaisha Noor, as the tournament delivered a mix of veteran dominance and rising talent in Islamabad.

Playing at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex, top seed Ushna Suhail outclassed fourth seed Zunaisha Noor with a decisive 6-2, 6-1 victory in the final. The experienced campaigner controlled the match from the baseline, breaking early in both sets and maintaining relentless pressure to seal the championship in straight sets.

While Zunaisha showed flashes of potential, she couldn’t match Ushna’s pace and precision. The result reaffirms Ushna’s standing as Pakistan’s leading female tennis star and highlighted Zunaisha’s emergence as a future contender.

The men’s doubles semifinals offered fans edge-of-the-seat action. Tennis legends Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan came from behind to defeat top seeds Yousaf Khalil and Barkatullah in a tight three-set thriller: 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-8. Their experience proved vital in the decisive super tiebreak.

In the second semifinal, Muzammil Murtaza and Abdullah Adnan narrowly overcame Ahmad Nael Qureshi and Abubakar Talha 6-2, 6-7(5), 11-9. The gripping contest sets up an electrifying final between two generations of Pakistani tennis excellence.

The men’s singles title match will see seasoned star Aqeel Khan take on second seed Muzammil Murtaza. Aqeel demonstrated strategic brilliance in his 6-3, 6-4 semifinal win over Barkatullah, while Muzammil overpowered Yousaf Khalil 6-2, 6-4 with aggressive shot-making.

Scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 PM, the final promises a thrilling battle between Aqeel’s experience and Muzammil’s rising dominance on the national stage.

In the Junior 18 & Under event, Muhammad Salar advanced to the final with a straight-sets win over Asad Zaman. In the Boys 14 & Under division, Muhammad Muaz and Muhammad Junaid reached the final after gritty semifinal victories.

Muhammad Aayan secured the Boys 12 & Under title, defeating Muhammad Muaz 4-2, 4-2, capping off a stellar run with dominant performances throughout the tournament.
