Uzbek Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Defence Production Minister

RAWALPINDI — The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, on Thursday met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defence Production, Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, to discuss strengthening bilateral collaboration in the defence sector.

During the meeting, Minister Harraj welcomed Ambassador Tukhtaev and reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for its friendly and cooperative ties with Uzbekistan, according to a press release.

Ambassador Tukhtaev thanked the minister for his time and conveyed his government’s commitment to advancing partnerships with Pakistan, especially in the defence industry.

Both sides emphasized the importance of exploring opportunities for joint ventures and agreed to develop a comprehensive “Roadmap of Defence Industrial Cooperation.” The roadmap is expected to be signed during the next session of the Joint Working Group scheduled for August in Tashkent.
