Vance Declares US Will Not Mediate India-Pakistan Conflict, Cites It as ‘None of Our Business’
Report by Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
U.S. Vice President JD Vance has stated that the United States will not intervene in the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, asserting that the fight between the two nuclear-armed nations is “fundamentally none of our business.”
Speaking during an interview on Fox News, Vance made clear that while Washington would pursue diplomatic efforts, it would not involve itself militarily or as a mediator. “What we can do is try to encourage these folks to de-escalate a little bit,” he said. “But we’re not going to get involved in the middle of a war that has nothing to do with America’s ability to control it.”
He emphasized that the U.S. cannot force either country to disarm or cease hostilities. “We will continue to pursue this through diplomatic channels,” Vance added.
The Vice President also expressed concern about the potential for wider conflict, saying, “Our hope and expectation is that this is not going to spiral into a broader regional war or, God forbid, a nuclear conflict. Right now, we don’t think that’s going to happen.”
