White House Seals Signal Scandal as ‘Closed Case’

The Trump administration has sought to put an end to the controversy surrounding the use of the Signal messaging app, declaring the matter closed. This decision comes despite growing criticism from both parties and internal disputes within the White House over the breach.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the ongoing concerns on Monday, expressing continued confidence in National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who has come under fire after adding The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg to a private Signal thread discussing a sensitive bombing campaign in Yemen. Leavitt indicated that actions have been taken to prevent similar incidents in the future, but declined to go into further detail.
