Yemen Strikes U.S. Aircraft Carrier
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced the successful execution of drone operations targeting Israeli and American military assets in response to ongoing hostilities in Gaza. The announcement came via a statement issued by Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s military.
According to General Saree, a suicide drone was deployed to strike a military installation in Tel Aviv, located in the occupied city of Yafa. The attack was described as a “precise and effective operation” carried out in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In a simultaneous move, the Yemeni forces reportedly launched multiple drones at the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier ‘USS Harry S. Truman’ in the Red Sea. General Saree confirmed that the drones successfully impacted the vessel, demonstrating Yemen’s capability and resolve in the face of foreign military presence.
“Yemen’s position is firm—there will be no retreat. Our support for Gaza will continue, and all American and Israeli-affiliated vessels in the Red Sea and Arabian regions will remain under threat until the aggression against Gaza ends,” said General Saree.
In a related development earlier on Wednesday, Yemen’s air defenses successfully shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Al-Jawf province. This marks the 18th such American drone downed by Yemeni forces since the beginning of their operations in support of Gaza.
